About

Dr Lankford is an Oakland and Walnut Creek based urologist, specializing in urologic oncology and penile aesthetics. He grew up in the Bay Area and attended the University of California, Berkeley, majoring in molecular and cellular biology. He earned his medical degree at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN with a dual Master’s Degree in public health from the University of California, Berkeley. His Master’s thesis was an investigational study that assessed the factors contributing to patient satisfaction and surgical outcome measures using standardized surveys.  He completed his residency in Urology at New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY which included a core rotation at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.  He completed a clinical research fellowship in urologic oncology at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, MD contributing to breakthrough research in genitourinary cancer treatments.  Lastly, he completed an endourology and robotics fellowship at New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY, where he was trained in all forms of minimally invasive surgical techniques for the treatment of urologic oncology.  Dr. Lankford has a special interest in optimizing men’s health with a holistic view on health and wellness, patient satisfaction, exercise, and lifestyle changes which may influence positive outcomes after surgical procedures.  He has a practice focus  on penile prosthetics after therapies for prostate cancer.
