Dr. V. Arek Keledjian received his Bachelor of Science in biology from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. He then received his medical degree from State Medical Institute of Yerevan in Armenia. Dr. Keledjian then completed his residency in internal medicine at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. At Cook County, Dr. Keledjian was chief medical resident. He also completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at Cook County Hospital. Dr. Keledjian began practicing with the Gastroenterology Group of Contra Costa in 1990.

The group became affiliated with BASS in early 2015. His area of interest is diseases of the biliary system and liver. Dr. Keledjian is the Chair of the Department of Gastroenterology for the John Muir Medical Center’s Concord campus and is an active member of the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the California Medical Association, the Alameda-Contra Costa Medical Association, and the Northern California Society of Clinical Gastroenterology. He is also an expert medical reviewer for the Medical Board of California. Dr. Keledjian is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology.
