Wendy Ennis, RN

Oncology Nurse Navigator

About

Wendy Ennis, Registered Nurse (RN), has been working as an oncology nurse for over 9 years. Growing up in California she knew she wanted to be a nurse after witnessing her father’s health struggles with heart failure. Wendy knew that a dedicated nurse could make a difference inpatients lives.

Wendy earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Dominican University of California in San Rafael. Her first nursing position was at Aurora St Luke’s in Milwaukee, WI on the hematology/bone marrow transplant unit where she quickly became charge nurse and served on the unit counsel to better improve patient outcomes. She felt a strong passion in oncology nursing and serving patients with honesty and patience.  With that, Wendy then furthered her career in oncology at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. She was the charge nurse of the oncology unit and was co-chair of their unit counsel. She then transitioned to outpatient oncology, as a nurse navigator for Sutter Medical Foundation in Fairfield treating patients in both oncology and hematology.

Wendy joined the BASS Cancer Center in 2022 as the Oncology focused Nurse Navigator program leader and is excited to provide seamless and compassionate oncology care locally here in Walnut Creek. Outside of her nurse role, Wendy enjoys dancing to live music, playing with her dog, and local travel with her husband.
