BASS Medical Group Renames Cancer Center in Honor of Late Founder Dr. Gregory A. Rhodes
BASS Medical Group proudly announced today that its flagship cancer facility was renamed the Gregory Rhodes, M.D. Cancer Center, commemorating the legacy of its esteemed founder and former Board president, Gregory Rhodes, M.D. who passed away September 27th, 2024.
Dr. Rhodes served as Board president of BASS Medical Group from its founding in 2007 until 2022. Under his leadership, the organization grew into one of Northern California’s premier multispecialty medical groups, known for delivering compassionate, innovative, and patient-centered care.
“Dr. Rhodes was the heart of BASS Medical Group, and his vision for compassionate, patient-centered care has shaped our organization into what it is today,” said Inez Wondeh, MPA, MBA, CEO of BASS Medical Group. “Renaming our Cancer Center in his honor is a testament to his unwavering commitment to excellence and his profound impact on the lives of patients, staff, and community.”
Throughout his 15-year tenure as board president, Dr. Rhodes championed initiatives to improve accessibility to care, expanding BASS Medical Group’s presence throughout Northern California and ensuring patients had access to world-class treatment close to home. Even after stepping down in 2022, he continued serving the organization on its Quality Committee until 2024.
